Daniel Razon, UNTV CEO celebrates his 32nd year anniversary in public service with a charity concert for the benefits of poor children and those with sicknesses and disabilities.
Mr. Public Service performed his favorite songs with special guests, most of whom are children, and as expected, filled the Araneta Coliseum up to its brim with friends and followers who support his advocacies.
Kuya Daniel, dubbed as such by his loving friends and followers, has gathered a powerhouse of talents from among the younger generation to gather supporters who can help alleviate the sufferings and hardships experienced by other children.
Gwynneth Dorado, of Asia’s Got Talent 2015, paved the way to a heartwarming aural expedition with her rendition of Somewhere over the Rainbow. As the narratives tell the story behind, the song was included in the repertoir to inspire young dreamers to dream of a better future.
Then came Youtuber Myka Cloma who gave a very commendable performance of the classic The Sound of Music song, which turned the whole stage into one very colorful playground.
After Myka, Darren Espanto, the new generation total performer, went onto the stage and caused a major clamor amongst viewers when he sang a bunch of songs that took the roof off the big dome. The message of his songs were supposedly a little tribute to children who had been fighting sicknesses. These kids are Kuya Daniel’s reason for coming up with several projects to care for the ones with health and physical impediments together with the Kamanggagawa Foundation, Inc.
This was followed by a collection of Disney princess songs from the kids of the KNC Show, bringing out the princess in every girl.
Finally, Kuya Daniel took centerstage and sang some his well loved songs from the past to inspire everybody use their talents and skills for caring for others.
In the middle of his spiels, he sighed his wish and hope for the return of MCGI luminary and preacher Bro. Eli Soriano. As he talked to the crowd, he let out his optimism and dispositions towards sickly children when he said “When science fails, faith prevails,” endearingly calling each one of them “Mga Anak (Children).” He also lifted their spirits by saying, “Bago tayo lumapit sa kahit kaninong tao para humingi ng tulong, manalangin muna tayo sa Dios.” (Before we seek any person’s help, lets pray first to God.)
And because Kuya Daniel’s night has not ceased to open new surprises as if opening a new box of gift, he proudly introduced his kids as they perform as a boy band complete with their instruments and singing to the tune and tempo of You Don’t Know What It’s Like, Kuya Daniel begins with, “One great thing that God let me experience is being a father.”
The inspiring song numbers were made more emotional by special stories shown in between performances, mostly of children and parents who had been hopeful despite their hardships, sicknesses and sorrows.
A thankful and humble Kuya Daniel opened his heart to the crowd to gave thanks to God for blessings and for his family, earnestly admonishing people never to thank his person for whatever they recieved, but instead thank and give glory to God.
The concert, which was supposedly conceptualized in consonance with worldwide celebrations for children, was really a dream concert for Kuya who has always been someone who supports the rights and welfare of children.
As the event reached its culmination, Kuya Daniel, with the help of representatives from the DSWD, DEPED and NCDA, gave away check donations worth hundred thousand pesos for each chosen institutes. Among the beneficiaries are KANLUNGAN SA ER-MA MINISTRY, INC, CANCER WARRIOR FOUNDATION, INOCENCIO MAGTOTO MEMORIAL FOUNDATION, INC, PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES FEDERATION OF SAN MATEO RIZAL, HANDICAPPED CENTER LOURDES, INC, RIZAL HIGH SCHOOL, MANILA BOYSTOWN COMPLEX, BABY SYBYL SHYNN MABULAY, NORFIL FOUNDATION, and the FAMILIES AND CHILDREN FOR EMPOWERMENT AND DEVELOPMENT (FCED) FOUNDATION INC./ CHILDREN OF PRISONERS.
Kuya Daniel did his finale with the children of the KNC Show and the Razon kids.
The program was inexplicably very calm, very positive and displays the true Filipino way of being responsible for the children. As a bonus info, Kuya Daniel was recently given a Gintong Palad Award for Media Broadcasting and has been an advocate for quality child care as reflected in the many UNTV programs that have garnered awards from Anak TV, signifying the child-friendliness of their programs.
